XCELLENT MEN (1) returned from a lay-off a week-and-a-half ago when he was beaten 6 lengths into seventh over 6f at Saratoga. Will enjoy a drop in class so he can make amends. TIE BREAKER (6) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 13 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when sixth over 5½f at this track, beaten 9 lengths. Nicely placed to test this line-up. QUINCY MARKET (2) produced a good run two starts back to finish third but was below par last time when out of the placings at this track (Dirt) over 1m1/2f. Finds a nice race and can bounce back. KERN RIVER (5) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m1/2f at this track, beaten 15 lengths into sixth. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
