AFFIRMATIVE SMILE (9) broke through for her maiden win over 5f at Bairnsdale last time. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Jumps from a nice gate and she is a leading contender. MR TICKLES (3) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start when he worked home well but found a couple better over 5½f at this track, beaten 4 lengths. Faces an easier assignment so he is likely to play a big role. INTRIGUING STATE (5) has been in good form, scoring three back at Bairnsdale then placing twice in a row, most recently finishing second when he was always up in the leading division over 6f at Pakenham Synthetic. Perfectly placed and is sure to play a major role. BRASH LASS (13) accounted for a maiden field over 5f at Seymour last start, finishing 0.8 lengths ahead of the nearest rival. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Lachlan Neindorf was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again.
