SHAL EXCEED (2) showed little early speed last start and failed to come on in the straight when sixth, beaten 11 lengths, over 1m at Swan Hill. Perfectly placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. SAKASU (6) did a good job last time, finishing in the money when third over 7f at Balranald. Commendable record at this trip with a win and four minor placings and should prove tough to beat. TAKE THE PRIZE (7) did little and finished 16 lengths from the winner in ninth over 6½f at Avoca last start, a less impressive effort than her eighth at this track the run before. Finds the right race this time and can find winning form. BOOM BANG (1) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 10 lengths away in 11th over 1m1f at Halidon. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
