U DIRTY DOG (7) is back after a break of three-and-a-half months. At the last run before the layoff he finished eighth over 1m at Monmouth Park (Turf). Nicely placed and can get off the mark. RANUNCULUS (8) gave away a considerable start over 5f at this track (Turf) last time before hitting the line well to finish fifth. Should prove tough to hold out.
