DETERRENT (1) ran well below his best last time over 7f at Laurel (Dirt), beaten 13 lengths into fourth at 7/2. Well placed and can bounce back. MOR STORMY (5) finds it hard to win with just one success from 16 starts. Did a good job last start to finish second over 1m at this track, beaten 7 lengths. In the right race and there is no reason he cannot get the major prize. LITTLE SHANCE (3) is returning from a lay-off of seven months. Finished seventh at Tampa Bay Downs (Dirt) over 5½f at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Eric R Reed. Has ability and makes plenty of appeal. HE'S MY BOY (7) showed good early speed last start over this journey at this track (Dirt) before finishing third, beaten 3. 5 lengths. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders.
