PANTHERA'S FATE (9) was well in commission last start over 5½f at this track (Dirt) when second, beaten 2.75 lengths. Sound record at this distance with two wins and two minor placings from five runs and is expected to be in the finish. CHAMPAGNE MIKE (5) has been hard to follow recently, last time out finishing seventh over 5½f at this track (Dirt). Has ability and rates highly this time. SERGEANT COUNTZLER (7) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just two times from 23 starts. Did a good job last start to finish second over 5½f at Mountaineer Park, beaten half a length. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is good enough to play a major role. FLAWLESS CAT (8) is building towards a win with placings at his last two runs, the latest effort a third over 5½f at this track (Dirt) when beaten 4 lengths. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Not to be discounted.
