ROSE DARLING (1) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by 1. 5 lengths over 7f at Evangeline Downs (Dirt). Open to plenty of improvement and looks a big threat to the top selection. SARANAC LAKE (5) improved last time out, finishing 4. 5 lengths from the winner in second at the end of 1m1/2f at this track after being in the firing line on the turn. Meets some better types this time but another big run is on the cards. MARINA'S GOLD (6) improved sharply last time out to score by 4. 5 lengths over 1m1/2f at this track (Dirt) three weeks ago. Well placed to feature in the finish again.
