Overdue for a win and looks well placed to break through. EL GOLIAD (3) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 11 starts. Was again denied last start when he found a couple better over 1f31yards at Evangeline Downs. Will enjoy a drop in class so he is likely to play a big role. FORTYACRES AND AMULE (1) is close to breaking through, last start finishing just a head away in third over 1f180yards at Evangeline Downs (Dirt) after being in contention all the way. Taking on a better line-up this time but he is good enough to play a major role. ZIRA STONE (7) turned in another moderate effort last start when 1. 2 lengths from the winner in sixth over 1f31yards at Evangeline Downs. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
