This is a nice drop in grade so he is one of the main contenders. FIRST CAPE (3) made progress last time out, finishing 6 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 5½f at Lone Star Park after being prominent at the corner. Has the ability to build on that encouraging effort last start. EQUAL PROTECTION (1) last appeared eight weeks ago over 1m1/2f at Fairgrounds when he finished eighth. This is his first run for the Robertino Diodoro stable. Can measure up for the new barn. WEDDING GIFT (6) finished 7 lengths from the winner in fourth at his most recent appearance over 6f at Evangeline Downs (Dirt). Looks to be in the right race to figure in the finish.
