BIG FIG (3) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 6½f at this track (Dirt) after being in contention all the way. Finds a tougher race but another big run is on the cards. VIOLENT RIVER (6) finished fourth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6f at this track, beaten 8 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. This doesn't look as hard so he is all set to build on that latest effort. COLT'S BRIM (4) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fourth over 5½f at this track (Dirt). Has the ability to get back to winning ways. WILLIAM GUSTAVO (5) is a five-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Cid Erick Del stable. Hasn't raced since finishing fifth at Gulfstream Park (Dirt) seven months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but looks well placed. Shapes as a top-three chance.
