Race Tip

DO IT FOR DAVE (2) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at this track (Dirt), finishing second and only half a length from the winner at the end of 5½f after being in the firing line on the bend. Yet to miss the frame in two starts over this course and distance. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. ESSENTIAL NATION (9) got well back over 5½f at Santa Anita (Dirt) last time and never threatened, eventually finishing 10 lengths away in fifth. Perfectly placed and is sure to give this a mighty shake. EIELSON (10) has recorded four minor placings from four runs this campaign. Continued the trend last start when runner-up over 4f124yards at Los Alamitos Qh (Dirt) after he was prominent throughout. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. SCOOP OF CHOCOLATE (3) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 10 lengths into seventh over 5½f at this track. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
