Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. ALAN'S CONQUEST (4) recorded his maiden win three back and is ready to score again after a couple of recent minor placings, the latest when second at Los Alamitos (Dirt). Is a winner at this circuit. Leading contender. HERMELINDA'S FANCY (2) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 14 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fourth over 4½f at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths. Meets a stronger field but he is capable of running a bold race. UPDRAFT (1) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Los Alamitos, beaten 9 lengths into fourth. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
