IT IS WRITTEN (7) made progress last time out, finishing 5 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 4f124yards at this track after being in contention on the corner. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. VALERIE (3) finished third when resuming at Pleasanton then couldn't repeat the dose last time when fifth at Pleasanton (Dirt) over 5f when beaten 5 lengths. Solid top-three chance. COIFFEUR (5) had been racing well with four consecutive placings before last start managing only seventh over 6f at Santa Anita. Julien Couton stays on and although yet to win has been in the money on four occasions. Deserves respect.
