PREFERRAL (9) turned in a modest performance when seventh last time out over 6f at Cloncurry, beaten 11 lengths. That followed a win at Barcaldine at the previous outing. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot make amends. SCORCHED LAND (3) won at Hughenden two starts ago but was below his best at a more recent appearance, finishing sixth over 7f at Tambo. Nicely placed to bounce back.
