WASTED WARRIOR (6) has been in the money at both runs this prep, the latest when beaten 2. 5 lengths into second over 1m at this track (Dirt). Fitter and should be in the finish. MELLENCAMP (2) went forward and gave a great sight before finishing third when resuming last time out over 1m at Sam Houston Park (Dirt). Well placed and there is no reason he cannot salute. SANDS OF TIME (3) is returning from a lay-off of three months. Finished sixth at Santa Anita Turf (Turf) over 6½f at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Justin R Evans. Comes here with definite top-three claims. WISE DECISION (1) is back after a break of 15 months. At the last run before the layoff he finished tenth over 6f at Oaklawn Park (Dirt). Rates highly on best form and should be in the mix.
