EFFORTS CARTEL (4) is back at the races for the first time since July 26. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last time in work over 1f80yards at Louisiana Downs. Rates highly and is likely to be prominent. SHAW ISLAND (5) failed to run a strong 1f180yards last start after a close second over 1½f at this track (Dirt) the run prior. Appeals back in trip this time so can bounce back. HOLMS (1) was in the firing line on the turn and finished third last time over 1f180yards at this track (Dirt) when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 2 lengths. Goes up a rung or two but he is capable of running a bold race. ZOOMIN FOR BLOOD (2) has been in good form, scoring three back at Prairie Meadows (Dirt) then placing twice in a row, most recently when third over 1f at this track (Dirt). Finds a suitable race and can feature in the finish.
