PRAIRIE BRAT (9) is back from a lay-off of three months. Closed last prep with a fourth, beaten 2.5 lengths, over 5f at Sam Houston Park. One of the better chances. SHE'S A GOLD LADY (10) was beaten for early speed and didn't come into contention when a disappointing sixth over 7½f at this track (Turf) most recently. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
