CAPTAINS COVE (5) looks close to a win, finishing in the placings at his last couple of runs including a second most recently over 5½f at this track (Dirt) when beaten 0.8 lengths. Settles back early but winds up late. Best form puts him right in this. GHOST COWBOY (3) had been rock-solid with three placings in a row before finishing sixth over 1m at Evangeline Downs last start. Better than the last effort and is a winning chance. RUSTY GADGET (8) was beaten 4.5 lengths into fifth in a 5½f contest at this track a week-and-a-half ago. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
