Has a strong record at the third run in so a top-three finish is on the cards. POMEROY HAZE (4) fought on well for third last start over 6f at Sam Houston Park (Dirt), making it two minor placings in a row. Goes well at this journey with four wins from 12 starts and shapes as one to consider. HOOPERDRIVESTHBOAT (2) was well fancied when resuming last start and proved too strong, scoring by 2.25 lengths over 5½f at this track (Dirt). Open to plenty of improvement and he can measure up again.
