HARDY'S HERO (4) was gelded over the winter and returned in fine form this season producing a gutsy runner up finish at Newmarket. Could find this test more suitable and is firmly the one to beat. ASSARANCA (8) managed to keep busy last year. Didn't disgrace herself attempting listed level at Newbury in the autumn contesting the Radley Stakes. Dropping in trip may suit and rates highly. DAGGER STRIKE (2) brings just the one start on turf to date and needs more than when seventh at Southwell on the all-weather recently. MR WRITER (6) performed better on the all-weather up to now and needs a career best to feature.
