HARDY'S HERO (4) had been gelded over the winter and returned in fine form this season with a gutsy runner up finish at Newmarket and should find this test more suitable. Looks firmly the one to beat. ASSARANCA (8) was kept busy last year and didn't disgrace herself at listed level at Newbury in the autumn in the Radley Stakes. The drop in trip should suit and rates highly. DAGGER STRIKE (2) only had the one start on turf to date and needs more than when seventh at Southwell on all-weather recently. MR WRITER (6) has performed better on the all-weather up to now and needs a career best to feature.
