ROYAL JET (9) picked up well to win a similar course and distance handicap just under four weeks ago. The Tony Carroll-trained six-year-old has managed to build up a decent record at this venue and it wouldn't be at all surprising were he to defy a 3lb higher mark and complete a double. CELTIC JOHN (2) finished runner-up tackling track and trip forty one days ago. Could get involved up 1lb receiving a nice draw from gate three. TASKHEER (10) is two from six over course and distance and hard to rule out following a decent second here in November. Might go well if ready to go. MONKS MEAD (5) warrants respect.
