CAPTAIN BRETT (7) was a comfortable 2.5L winner at Yarmouth (1m6 1/4f). Now 5lb higher and this relatively unexposed gelding might improve again tackling the new trip. SILK AND STEEL (8) offered little in four flat starts. Won recently hurdling and likely to appreciate this longer trip. First-time cheekpieces go on and worth considering. CHARLES MORIN (3) is now 3lb lower than when winning over 1m1f at this track last term. Will have stamina to prove. Latest second attempting 1m6f here offered some encouragement. CHERRY COLA (2) cannot be ruled out from this mark.
