Leading apprentice rider claims handy allowance to remove subsequent rise in weights. Thereabouts again. NEWSREADER (5) managed to win three of his five starts on polytrack (admittedly all at Kempton). Latest 2lb rise looks fair. Dangerous to ignore. CHARENCEY (10) provided encouraging third at Wolverhampton (7f) on his first run after wind surgery. Might have more to come tackling this trip.
