FIGHTING FOR GOLD (14) is a handy galloper who was a nose from the winner in second when resuming last start over 6¾f at Devonport Synthetic. Leading player. LOVIN' BEV (3) disappointed at her last run five months ago when seventh in the G3 Vamos Stakes at this track, that effort following back-to-back wins. Good effort at the start of last prep to fill a minor placing over 5½f at this track. Looks set to run well. LE DERRIERE (8) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5½f at Hobart, beaten 2.5 lengths. Fitter this time will prove harder to beat.
