POP A HONDA (7) travelled in a rearwards position and was disappointing over 1m1 1/2f at Devonport Synthetic last time out when in the market. That followed a good third the run before. Likely improver with strong prospects. OZTURK (2) went forward and gave a great sight before finishing second last time out over 1m2 1/2f at this track. Perfectly placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. MONTE FLEUR (4) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing eighth at this track over 1m2 1/2f. Won't find this as tough so she will be hard to beat. ALPINE KATE (5) has progressed nicely in her last couple of runs. Finished second at Hobart two starts back then got the job done by a long neck last time out over 1m2 1/2f at Hobart. Finds a suitable race and can build on that last-start success.
