WHIPPIN PICCADILLY (5) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 3 lengths when seventh in a 1m contest at Hobart two weeks ago after being in contention on the turn. Won't find this as tough so she is one of the main contenders. MASTRETTA (3) has been thereabouts since getting off the mark four runs back, the latest effort a third over 7f at this track. Expected to go very well. GAZZA'S SPIRIT (1) was a determined maiden winner last time out, scoring by a long neck over 5½f at Hobart. Jumps from a nice gate and he is one of the main chances. CAPE ZORO (10) turned in another moderate effort last start when 6 lengths from the winner in eighth over 6¾f at Devonport Synthetic. Better than recent efforts suggest.
