Race Tip

FIRST DAY (5) is yet to find the frame in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when seventh over 1m at Corowa. Has good credentials over this longer trip and is ready to win. MERIMBULA (7) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when fourth, beaten 5 lengths, over 7½f at Caulfield Heath after he got a long way back. First try at the trip but he strips fitter and will be tough to beat. PROSHOW (3) started at 13/2 last time and ran below expectations, finishing ninth and beaten 11 lengths at Ballarat over 1m2 1/4f. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. SONIC BENDER (4) progressed nicely last time out to score by 4. 5 lengths over 1m1 3/4f at Yarra Valley. Likely to be there at the finish again.
