IL CIELO (1) knuckled down strongly to get within 0. 8 lengths of the winner in second last start over 1m at Werribee. Should be winding up late again. LANE CHANGER (6) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2. 75 lengths when fourth in a 1m3/4f contest at Sale three-and-a-half weeks ago. Has the talent to figure prominently. MERCURIAL BOY (4) led from a wide gate last time over 7f at Ballarat but felt the pinch and faded out of it. Finds a suitable race and can do better this time. ZIGGY STARCRAFT (7) settled well back from the inside draw last start before coming home nicely to finish 4. 5 lengths away in sixth over 6½f at Wangaratta. One to watch for late in the piece.
