MALDINI (11) made a strong late bid only to just miss when fresh from a lay-off last start over 6f at Seymour. Should tighten right up following that outing. Has the ability to take care of this field. PORSHA CRYSTAL (9) led into the straight last start over 6½f at Sandown-Hillside but could not sustain the pressure and finished seventh. Will find this easier than last start. Well placed and sure to run well. CHERRABAH (15) resumes after seven months and looks forward enough following a Pakenham trial win. Should park just off the speed. Will give backers a great sight. MACEDONIAN MARVEL (1) resumes. After filling a minor placing at his last appearance at this track over 7¼f on April 17. Makes plenty of appeal.
