FLITGROVE (6) finished one length from the winner in fourth last start after being prominent at the corner over 6f at Benalla, an improvement on her when resuming fifth at Ararat the run before. Likely improver with strong prospects. LUCKY DUCK (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when she was always well out of her ground over 6f at Echuca, beaten 8 lengths into 13th. Finds a suitable assignment and can turn things around. MARILYN'S EDGE (8) did little and finished 4.5 lengths from the winner in eighth over 7f at Flemington last start after being in contention on the bend, a less impressive effort than her fourth at Echuca the run before. This is a nice drop in grade so she is likely to play a big role. ASMITA (3) returned from a break last start and sat on the speed before lifting to score over 5f at Terang by 1.5 lengths. Can figure in the finish again.
