LEVAR (10) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 3.5 lengths when fourth over 5f at Monto two weeks ago. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. MY NAME IS (1) went to the paddock after scoring at his last appearance four months ago over 4¾f at Moree. Has found the right race. IT'S HELLS BELLS (4) proved too strong two runs ago at Warwick. Couldn't follow that up last time out when eighth over 4¼f at Gympie, beaten 8 lengths. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is up to the challenge. HOKUSAI (9) returns from a layoff of 12 weeks. Worth noting she filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last time in work over 4f at Warwick. Now under the care of new trainer Caitlin Johnstone. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
