Has the ability to put the recent run of form behind him. SNAPPY TYCOON (8) is due to win after just missing last time over 5½f at Kyneton, finishing just a long neck from the winner in second. Has a win and four minor placings at this trip from 12 starts so he is a leading contender. THINKING OF GERTY (6) was in the firing line on the corner and finished third last time over 5½f at Bendigo, beaten 2 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. Nicely placed to play a role in the finish.
