GROOVEJET (9) has put together a couple of wins at this circuit, the latest on December 18 over 1m2f when he got home by 1.3 lengths. Winning rider Juan Paul V'd Merwe retains the mount. Facing a tougher assignment but he is good enough to score again. KWITE A KING (3) was prominent from the outset when second over 1m2f at this track last time out. Yet to break through here at this distance but has never missed the placings in three starts. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Will prove tough to beat. LA PULGA (5) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.75 lengths from the winner in third over 1m at this track. Worth noting Aldo Domeyer goes aboard. Finds a tougher race but another big run will not surprise. GREEN ISLE (4) finished 8 lengths adrift in eighth last time over 1m at this track in a disappointing performance. Nicely placed to make amends.
