MARTATOR (3) made it five in a row impressively winning by 11L at Ascot on last appearance. Has found a steep rise in the weights but still looks to have more than a chance. Main choice. The 2022 winner BOOTHILL (2) was unlucky to fall in this race last year. Placed last time out behind a subsequent winner in the G2 Shloer Chase at the November meeting at Cheltenham. Respect. Multiple G1 scorer EDWARDSTONE (1) looks to rebound from a fall in the aforementioned Cheltenham G2. Won on this card back in 2021. Has to give weight around but if given a clear run can be difficult to oppose. Watch closely. Last year’s victor EDITEUR DU GITE (4) cannot be discounted.
