Race Tip

REBEL'S EDGE (6) got well back over 1m at Taree last time and never threatened, eventually finishing 21 lengths away in 11th. Taking on a better field but he is capable of running a bold race. AUZSTAR (3) was below his best last time when 12th over 6½f at Warwick Farm, beaten 4.5 lengths. Beautifully placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. CLAPTONE (5) improved last time out, finishing a neck from the winner in second at the end of 6f67yards at Taree after being in contention on the corner. Goes up a rung or two but he is worth serious consideration. WILDERNESS STAR (11) finished 13 lengths behind the winner in ninth over 1m at Taree last start after lifting strongly to score two runs back. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Not to be discounted.
