KINGDOM OF LOGRES (1) last appeared when he finished third over 1m2f at Kembla Grange on June 17. One of the genuine hopes in the race. FLYING STEP (2) showed good early dash and stalked the pace last start before drawing clear to score by 1.3 lengths over 1m at Nowra. Good record at this journey with two wins and four minor placings from seven starts and shapes as a key contender. YORIKIRI (8) doesn't win out of turn but ran a nice race last time out over 1m at Gosford, finishing second and beaten 2.25 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Finds a suitable assignment and can get the job done. OPEN SKY (4) ran below expectations last time at Nowra over 1m, finishing sixth and beaten 7 lengths. Grant Buckley stays aboard. Must be respected.
