COLD GIN (1) is still a maiden after five starts but was placed at Canterbury when resuming before finishing sixth here last start. Should be ready to break through. DIAMOND DICE (10) is a two-start maiden who was unplaced on debut then improved to finish third last time over 5½f at Gosford, beaten 1. 4 lengths. Should be prominent from the low draw. Looks close to a win. I AM OVERS (6) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fourth, beaten 1. 5 lengths, over 5½f at Gosford. Will be putting in the big strides late. EXCELLUNA (8) finished second last start at the first run back from a lay-off over 5f at Muswellbrook, beaten a head. It doesn't get any easier but on her best form she is one of the chief contenders.
