UNCLE BARRY (2) finished 4. 5 lengths away in fifth last start over 4½f at Newcastle in a disappointing performance. Deserves another chance. ERNAUX (7) returned from a break with a tiring fourth over 6¼f at Newcastle after racing on the speed in the early stages. Expected to measure up here. Worth another try. Set Weights ORDPLAY (9) is a maiden galloper resuming. After a lay-off of five months. Closed last campaign with a fourth over 5½f at Warwick Farm, beaten 6 lengths. Looks to be in good order following a recent trial win. Shapes as one to consider. APOLLO RIDGE (1) is back at the races for the first time since May 16. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5f at Wyong. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
