MOGWAI (3) stuck on well when resuming last start to finish third over 6½f at this track after showing good early speed. Likely improver with winning claims. MICKEY'S MEDAL (8) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 4.5 lengths when sixth over 1m at Wagga two weeks ago. Has the talent to put the recent run of form behind him. FIDDLERS GREEN (2) was comfortably accounted for when fourth last time out over 1m at Wagga, beaten 3.5 lengths. That followed a win at Hawkesbury at the previous outing. Faces an easier assignment so he is a leading player. RING AHOY (5) is back from a break of three-and-a-half months. Closed last campaign with a narrow defeat over 1m1 1/2f at Canterbury. One to consider.
