HEYOKA (6) returns from a break of five months. Consistent performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a fifth over 6¾f at Doomben. Goes very well when fresh including two wins. Expected to continue the good form from last campaign this time around. ZOUPRINCE (2) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5½f at Randwick, beaten 8 lengths. Second up record is sound. Finds a suitable assignment and can get the job done. SHALAA GOLD (8) showed good early speed last start before boxing on well and finishing third, beaten 1.75 lengths, over this trip at Canterbury. This is a nice drop in grade so he is perfectly placed to score. LA PETITE MAISON (9) won at this track and distance at his last outing 11 weeks ago, the only appearance of that campaign. Good record at this journey with two wins and two minor placings from six starts and is one of the better hopes.
