QUOTHQUAN (1) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago at this track. Less impressive last time out when fourth over 7f at Eagle Farm, beaten 4.5 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Is yet to be beaten in two starts here. Perfectly placed and is sure to play a pivotal role. BITOFTHEBLARNEY (8) was last at the races when he finished fourth over 1m3f at Warwick Farm on December 18. Rates highly and is likely to be prominent. NEW JOY (4) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by half a length over 6f at Toowoomba. Will be better for that latest run and another big run will not surprise. TWYFORD (2) was ridden quietly from a good draw last start before closing nicely to get up for fourth over 6f43yards at this track. Well placed and is among the chances.
