LIETUVA (3) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at Doomben but raced below expectations last time over 7f at Eagle Farm, finishing eighth and beaten 9 lengths. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. REGGAE FIRE (5) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7f at Newcastle, beaten 3 lengths into sixth after being in the firing line on the bend. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. BETATHANEVA (16) finished fourth over 6¾f at this track when resuming last start, beaten only 1.4 lengths. This looks a sterner test than last time but with added fitness she is capable of a big performance. MEHRETU (12) ran below expectations last time at Eagle Farm, finishing fifth and beaten 4 lengths. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
