TEWKESBURY (3) lifted strongly but just failed to pick up the winner when fresh from a lay-off as favourite last start over 7½f at Ballarat Synthetic. Should tighten right up following that outing. Placed to advantage and can take this out. CAPRICORN RIDGE (2) was in the money two starts back at Morphettville but couldn't back it up last time when 11th, beaten 8 lengths, at Morphettville over 1m2f. Finds the right race this time and can bounce back. VEGAS ON FIRE (10) finished third at Seymour two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 7½f at Ballarat Synthetic, finishing 18 lengths back in 11th. Nicely placed to bounce back. SMOKIN' GIANT (6) raced on the speed when second up from a lay-off last start and wound up 3.5 lengths from the winner in fourth over 1m at Pakenham Synthetic. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Deserves respect on best figures.
