WEST MAPLE (5) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 14 lengths back in fourth over 1m1/2f at this track (Dirt). Well placed and expected to feature. RYE SMILE (6) finds it hard to win with just one success from 18 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when tenth over 1m at Belterra Park, beaten 23 lengths. Finds a tougher race but a win is not out of the question. CHOATE (8) has not won for a long while. Last raced on July 15 when beaten 7 lengths into seventh at this track (Dirt) over 1m1/4f. Taking on a better field but she is capable of running a bold race. Better than recent efforts suggest.
