MOOGIE SON (11) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just three wins from 36 starts. Was again denied last start when he found one better over 1m1/2f at this track. Meets a stronger field but he is good enough to take this out. COVEY (3) was ridden quietly then made some inroads and finished 4 lengths away in fifth last time out over 5½f at Colonial Downs five weeks ago. Steps up in distance. Among the chances. BROWN LIQUOR MAN (8) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m1f at Ellis Park, beaten 2 lengths into fifth. Ideally placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. KARLWITHANARL (1) returned from a lay-off a month ago when he was beaten 4 lengths into sixth over 1m1/2f at this track. Fitter so expect a better run this time.
