THE IRISH RANTER (7) followed an unplaced effort when resuming two runs back with a second last start over 5½f at this track after being in the firing line on the bend. Going up a level this time but he cannot be overlooked. TIZ IRISH (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m1/2f at this track, beaten 21 lengths into fifth. Faces an easier assignment so he is a major player. LAMBAY (5) has not raced since his debut back on October 23 when he finished fifth over 5½f at this track (Dirt). Plenty of scope for improvement. CANTARITO (1) resumes from a lay-off of seven months. Looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 5½f at this track (Dirt). Rates highly on best form and a bright return wouldn't surprise.
