SIDE EYE (8) returned from a lay-off five days ago when he was beaten 8 lengths into seventh over 5½f at Churchill Downs. Has never missed the frame second up. Ideally placed and is sure to make amends. BUTCH'S BEST (1) ran below expectations when fresh from a lay-off at this track (Dirt) over 5½f last time, finishing eighth and beaten 19 lengths. Yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance. Steps up a level but he is good enough to turn things around. SAMBALOVER (2) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he got a long way back over 5½f at Laurel, beaten 3 lengths into seventh. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is a major player. HARD TO SAY (5) did his best work late and finished second last time over 5½f at this track (Dirt) when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 2.25 lengths. Finds a tougher race but he has the talent to test this line-up.
