SMOKIN RICHIE (9) ran a bold race over this journey last start, racing on the pace and sticking on strongly to finish 6 lengths away in third at this track (Dirt). This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. GRAND HIDEAWAY (2) returns from a break of nine months. Consistent performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a eighth over 1m at this track. Nicely placed to kick off another successful campaign. ALL JOKES ASIDE (1) was strongly fancied when third last time over 5f at Belterra Park (Turf). Aided by the rails draw. Can do much better. MAJOR WAGER (3) hit the frame two starts ago at this track but ran below par last time when eighth and beaten 9 lengths over 1m at this track (Turf). Has his share of talent and can do a lot better.
