SOUTHERN AURORAS (3) turned in a fine effort to score by 2. 5 lengths at this course and distance when resuming from a lay-off last start. Has her share of talent. Hard to beat again in this suitable race. HUBUBBAJAHN (11) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just two wins from 26 starts. Was again denied last start when she found one better over 5¾f at Devonport Synthetic. Placed to advantage so expect a big run. TRIBAL COUNCIL (4) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6f at this track, beaten 3. 5 lengths into fourth. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the key runners. BENEFITSOFMINE (1) turned in a fine effort to score by a neck at this track and distance last start in a much improved run. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run.
