THE LITTLE BAY (6) settled well back but hit the line well to finish fourth, beaten 4 lengths, over 7f here last time. Outsprinted in the run home but kept coming and appears suited by the longer journey. Will be winding up strongly. MERLIN BEACH (3) won his maiden six starts back and is ready to salute again after a string of recent placings, the latest when third over 1m1 1/2f at Devonport Synthetic. Will find this tougher but a bold showing is expected. DON TURBOAS (2) broke through for a deserved win last time at this track after filling a minor placing at the first two starts this campaign. Should be poised just off the lead. One of the main contenders. NATALDI (9) was easily accounted for when seventh last start over 7f at this track, beaten 6 lengths after a good when resuming win at Devonport Synthetic. Worth another chance.
